Lyonville Springs is situated in a shady forest setting on the banks of the Loddon River. It is one of many mineral springs in the Daylesford area and a lovely setting for a picnic. It has been a popular mineral springs tasting and picnic spot since the early 1900's. The springs flavour and smell derive from the trace elements of carbonates, calcium, chlorides and magnesium the water absorbs as it passes through the rocks.
